Aircraft Brightwork Polishing and Metal Restoration

Aircraft with brightwork polishing done inside a hangar at ASG Springdale Municipal in Springdale Arkansas with jet inlets and leading edges polished and detailed.

The process begins with a rotary polisher and wool cutting pad to carefully refine the metal surface. This initial step removes surface oxidation, discoloration, and light imperfections, revealing a clean and refreshed metal finish beneath. Care is taken to work evenly across the surface to establish a uniform base for final polishing.

Once the initial correction step is complete, a dual-action polisher is used in combination with a polishing pad and metal finishing compound. This second step refines the surface further by removing any swirls or light halos created during the cutting stage. The result is a smooth, mirror-like finish with improved clarity and reflectivity.

Brightwork polishing enhances the overall appearance of an aircraft and contributes to a clean, professional exterior presentation. This service is suitable for general aviation aircraft, turboprops, and private jets and is commonly performed as part of routine exterior upkeep or before special events, owner use, or passenger flights.

By using proper equipment, controlled techniques, and attention to detail, our brightwork polishing service delivers consistent results that elevate the appearance of polished metal surfaces across the aircraft.
